Ans: Renu is (1 m 54 cm – 96 cm) = 58 cm taller than her daughter.

(2) An ant climbed up 7 m 5 cm on a wall. Then, it came down 2 m 50 cm along the same path. How far away is it now from the starting point?

Ans: The required distance (7 m 5 cm – 2 m 50 cm) = 4 m 55 cm.

(3) Aditya needs 2 m 85 cm of cloth for his shirt and 2 m 35 cm for his trousers. What total length of the cloth does he need?

Solution: Total length of cloth does Aditya needs (2 m 85 cm + 2 m 35 cm) = 5 m 20 cm.

(4) How much is 87 m 78 cm less than 103 metres?

Ans: 103 m – 87 m 78 cm = 15 m 22 cm

(5) How much is 61 m 7 cm exceed 16 m 82 cm?

Ans: 61 m 07 cm – 16 m – 82 cm = 44 m 25 cm

(6) A tailor has 324 m 15 cm of curtain cloth to stitch. He uses 148 m 55 cm of it. How much cloth is left with him?

Ans: The required length of cloth (324 m 15 cm – 148 m 55 cm) = 175 m 60 cm
