Solve the following problems.

(1) You go to school 5 days each week. How many days do you go to school in 4 weeks?

Solution: 5 × 4 = 20

There are 20 days do I go to school in 4 weeks.

(2) Some families are going on a picnic. If 5 people ride in each car and there are 3 cars, then how many people going on a picnic?

Solution: 5 × 3 = 15

There are 15 people going on a picnic.

(3) There are 6 cars each with 5 people going for picnic. How many people in all are going for the picnic?

Solution: 6 × 5 = 30

There are 30 people are going for the picnic.

(4) Sudhir bought 4 boxes of pencils and paid 8 rupees for each box. How much did Sudhir spend for all boxes?

Solution: 4 × 8 = 32

Therefore, Sudhir spend 32 rupees for all boxes.

(5) Sanjeev bought 7 packets of popcorn at 5 rupees per packet. How much did Sanjeev pay for these packets of popcorn?

Solution: 7 × 5 = 35

Therefore, Sanjeev pay 35 rupees for 7 packets of popcorn.

(6) There are 5 groups of 4 children each in Aruna’s class. How many children are therein all?

Solution: 5 × 4 = 20

There are 20 children in Aruna’s class.

(7) There were 5 tables laid for a party. At each table, 10 people were seated. How many people were there in all?

Solution: 5 × 10 = 50

Therefore, 50 people were there in all.

(8) How many oranges are there in 3 bags if each bag contains 6 oranges?

Solution: 3 × 6 = 18

Hence, 18 oranges are in 3 bags.

(9) How many wheels are there on 8 cars if each car has 4 wheels?

Solution: 8 × 4 = 32

Therefore, 32 wheels are on 8 cars.

(10) How many rupees do you pay for 7 dolls if each doll costs 8 rupees?

Solution: 7 × 8 = 56

Hence, I have pay 56 rupees for all dolls.
